"...it will be our human relationships which will make the difference."

Although the implications of the 21st century are upon us - rapid change in all facets of life driven by the information superhighway, one of the non-technical cornerstones of funeral service has already crossed the bridge into the new century. I am speaking to a subject which has been in large measure one that has empowered our company to the position it enjoys today. As we enter this new century, our company, Milso Industries, represents the second largest casket company in North America. This cornerstone of golden light will remain the single most important factor in building and maintaining a healthy funeral service or supply business in an electronic world characterized by “www.com.”

This golden light which is at the center of your business as well as ours is called the “Personal Touch”. We are all in the human relations business and our mutual abilities to touch people in a meaningful way will light the way for us into the future.

One of our visions here at Milso is to become universally recognized as the casket manufacturer and marketer with the highest regard for the value of the personal relationship in business. We have a good start here because much of the previous century we have emphasized the importance of personal interaction with our customers. It has been said by more than one funeral director that doing business with us “is a real life experience.”

Like most newborn children, the 21st century was given a number of names before it actually came into being. “The Information Age”, “The New Millennium”, “The Age of Awareness” to name a few. Since everyone is a part of it, we would like to suggest everyone has a right to name and refer to the new century in a manner they prefer. We believe technical partnerships are and will remain significant but it will be our human relationships which will make the difference. At Milso, our reference to the 21st Century is – Discovering a World of Relationships!

The world of business information driven by technology will create increased opportunities for people to re-discover the psychological need for face to face human interaction and the beauty and value only personal relationships can bring to life.
